What are Cookies?

Cookies are small pieces of data that allow us to compile statistics regarding the use of the Site, understand browsing experiences, and any needs. The data collected through cookies is used to make the browsing experience more enjoyable and more efficient in the future.

Cookies can be divided into two types:

• “first-party” cookies, when they are managed directly by the owner and/or publisher of the website visited by the user; and/or

• “third-party” cookies, when they are managed by parties unrelated to the website visited by the user. Furthermore, they can be further classified based on the purposes for which they are used: some allow for improved navigation by memorizing certain user choices regarding specific configurations (so-called “technical cookies”) and thus ensuring increasingly high-performance functionality, while others allow us to monitor the user’s browsing activity, including for the purpose of sending advertising and/or offering services in line with their preferences (so-called “profiling cookies”).

1. a) First-party cookies

This Site uses technical cookies, specifically:

1. Browsing or session cookies: essential for allowing users to navigate the Site normally and to properly use its services. Since they are not stored on the user’s computer, they disappear when the browser is closed;

2. Functionality cookies: These are solely intended to improve and speed up navigation on the Site by storing certain choices made by the user (such as language preferences).

These types of cookies enable normal navigation and use of the Site, allowing correct use of content published by Spazio 3, or authentication to access restricted areas. The cookies used also allow us to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the Site, as well as information regarding the language selected during navigation. Cookies do not record any personal information about a visitor, and any identifiable data will not be stored. The user has the option to object to the use of cookies. However, please note that by completely disabling cookies in the browser, the user may not be able to use all the interactive features offered. With regard to these, the Cookie Policy requires an opt-out regime. The user has the right to be informed, through this information prepared by the Data Controller, and can also choose to deny his/her consent to the use of such tools.

1. b) Third-party cookies

It is possible that during a user’s navigation, some cookies that are not directly controlled and managed by the Data Controller may be stored on their device, such as when the user visits a page that includes content from a third-party website. The Site also uses third-party profiling cookies. With regard to these cookies, the User’s consent is assumed to be given whenever the User clicks the “Accept” button in the banner that appears on the homepage. The User may, in any case, subsequently revoke their consent to the installation of these cookies.

These cookies, known as “third-party” cookies, can be divided into:

Analytics: used to collect and analyze statistical information on the number of users and visits to the Site. Disabling these third-party cookies does not compromise the use of the Site;

Widgets/Plugins: Some widgets and plugins made available by social networks (such as, but not limited to, the LinkedIn button or the display of YouTube videos directly within the websites the user is browsing) may use their own cookies to facilitate interaction with the relevant site. Disabling them does not compromise the use of the Site, except for the sole possibility of quickly sharing content and/or viewing multimedia content within it;

Profiling: used to collect information regarding the preferences and habits expressed by the user during browsing and therefore to make advertising provided by third parties more engaging and targeted.

This Site uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (hereinafter, “Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files placed on your device, to analyze how users use the Site. The anonymous, aggregate information generated by the cookie about your use of the Site will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

Google will use this information to track and examine your use of the Site, compile reports on Site activity for Site managers, and provide other services relating to Site activity and Internet usage.

To understand how Google cookies actually work, and to deny your consent to the use of these files, please refer to the information provided by Google on this matter, which can be found at this link (http://www.google.com/intl/it_ALL/analytics/learn/privacy.html).

Consent

In accordance with applicable law, upon first access to the Site (homepage or any other page thereof), Spazio 3 will request the user’s consent, pursuant to Article 4(1) of the GDPR, to send the above-mentioned cookies in the following ways:

• by clicking the “Accept” button or the “X” button in the banner that will be displayed;

• by clicking on any element of the Site’s web page, including scrolling, outside of the banner itself;

• by accessing this extended information notice (“Cookie Policy”) at any time, both on the first visit to the Site and subsequently through a specific link made available by the Data Controller, and disabling the use of cookies.

In any other case and on each subsequent visit to the Site, the user may access this information notice (by clicking the “Cookie Policy” link at the bottom of the Site’s homepage) and refuse consent to the installation of cookies in the ways described above. We therefore reiterate that user consent is only required for the installation of third-party cookies.
